06.23.08 - Lots of work by the club members this last week-end, it looks bigger and better then last year. Thanks everyone for your hard work!

The Dark Sky Site recently experienced an unusual storm that contained straight line winds exceeding 80 miles per hour. The shelters pictured on the website were damaged to the point that they will not be able to be used for the party. Additionally electrical power attached to the shelters for the cooking area and the showers was torn apart. Members of the ASKC have repaired the electrical connection for the cooking area and the showers.

They will be functioning as they have in the past. Several large canopies will be used this year to provide cover in place of the shelters. The party will have a different look but the necessary facilities will be in place.
